On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Lojze Bratuž Cultural Center will host the Gala Closing Concert of the cross-border Interreg SPF Italy–Slovenia project “Ljubka’s Trail” (Ljubkina pot – pesem pokrajine in spomina).
The concert marks the official conclusion of the project, which celebrates and reconnects the cultural and literary heritage of Ljubka Šorli and other women writers of the Goriška region. Through this initiative, Ljubka’s Trail aims to create a cross-border literary path linking places, stories, and artists along the Slovenian–Italian border, highlighting the shared history and creative dialogue of the area.
During the evening, a youth choir accompanied by a seven-member orchestra will present a musical narrative inspired by the themes of landscape, memory, and collective heritage. The performance will lead the audience on a moving journey through the poetic and cultural landscapes that have shaped generations of writers and communities on both sides of the border.
The project Ljubka’s Trail is financed by the European Union through the GO! 2025 Small Projects Fund under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia 2021–2027 programme, managed by EZTS GO.
