The Route of Women Writers at the 13th International Summer School of Museology
The 13th International Summer School of Museology took place under the auspices of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, Faculty of Humanities of the University of Primorska, ICOM Slovenia and Centre for Creativity of the Museum of Architecture and Design. It also served as a platform for the FSC to present the new cultural route.
The focal point of the 13th International Summer School of Museology that traditionally takes place in Koper and Piran (Slovenia) was in synch with the central theme of this year’s International Museum Day ‒ “Museums as Cultural Hubs: the Future of Tradition”.
In the framework of the five-day program Mateja Jančar, FSC project manager, presented the new European cultural route on 20th century women writers on behalf of the Forum of Slavic Cultures. She stressed that “the legacy of 20th-century women writers provides a strong foundation for a modern multi-hub network that will enable diverse scientific, cultural and tourist exploration of women’s literature in the context of European identity.”
The 13th International Summer School of Museology featured lectures by 22 experts from 5 countries, with almost 40 participants from 8 countries.
